Bumblebee, Autobot Guardian & Scout
Bumblebee (バンブルビー, Banburubī) is one of Optimus Prime's most trusted lieutenants. Although he is not the strongest or most powerful of the Autobots, Bumblebee more than makes up for this with a bottomless well of luck, determination and bravery. He would gladly give his life to protect others and stop the Decepticons.
Badly damaged in battle, Bumblebee lost the ability to speak verbally, though he can still communicate over inter-Autobot frequencies (in a fashion that seems somewhat akin to instant messaging, a usable but more distant and less personal means of interaction). He can also communicate with the Autobots' human allies and his friend, Sam Witwicky, by playing audio clips from popular media on his radio.

First on Earth, Bumblebee was given the task of locating and protecting Sam until the other Autobots could arrive. He found more than a mission to complete. He found friendship among the humans that he would risk his life to defend. More than that, he found a place that felt like home for the first time since Cybertron. When he arrived, he scanned the first vehicle he saw, but once he decided to stay on Earth, he thought something a little more up to date would help him feel right at home.
He transforms into an adapted vehicle mode of a 2006 Chevrolet Camaro concept/2009 Chevrolet Camaro/modified vintage 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Bumblebee served in the Cybertronian War, during which he was left virtually unable to speak after his vocal processor was damaged by Megatron beyond repair. Like many others, both Autobot and Decepticon, Bumblebee left Cybertron when the planet was reduced to a lifeless wasteland without the AllSpark.
